"Met up with a friend at this delightful guest house. Louise is an excellent host and was very informative about the area and where to visit. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and set us up for the day. Room was clean and well presented and Louise thoughtfully gave us an extra heater as it was a chilly day. Can highly recommend."

"An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. Comfortable stay
"We had a very comfortable stay at The old Rectory. The hotel is a beautiful old building in lovely well maintained gardens. Our room was very comfortable with everything we needed provided including a good range of toileteries. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a very good full English which we enjoyed immensely. I would definitely recommend the hotel which has a lot of character at a very reasonable price."
