"Parsa was FANTASTIC! He was extremely helpful with explaining directions, where to dine, how to get from one place to another, & attractions what to be aware of and more 😊. He was very professional, courteous & took time talking to us. A great asset to the hotel. The hotel is very close to Gail’s Bakery plus others for breakfast & a yummy Italian restaurant 3 doors down for lunch or dinner. A Tesco is 5 minutes away where u can purchase grocery items & prices are fair. Super location😃"

"I really enjoyed my stay here. It is postgraduate student halls- so come with that expectation. The bathroom is shared however the halls are so quiet, I rarely saw anyone over my 4 day stay. They're also cleaned daily and are very usable. Its very pleasant and the atmosphere is overall really nice. You won't find a hotel in London with a roof top terrace, gardens and cooking space for the same price. "

"I’m not sure why I did not know that I would have a shared bathroom, but it was never cleaned and wish I knew this was the case. The place is very old and a little scary, but the staff there are super friendly and helpful. It’s like a hostel where people live there… full time? Maybe halfway house?"

"My stay was wonderful. The host was fab (although sunbathing when I arrived so didn't hear the bell) initially. My room was pleasant, on the top floor with no lift so lucky was able to do stairs. It had everything I needed in the room and like the view from the window. The breakfast was quite small in portion, I think they could of added tomatoes and the option to have some fruit and yoghurt available in the breakfast room would have been nice. "The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"Excellent venue, free gym and pool access in huge University sports centre.- worth a lot in itself For any graduates , great nostalgic setting. Rooms very clean - traditional academic pine decor. Accommodation is named after son of Captain Scott & former Chancellor of the University. Extremely good value for money, room has everything you could wish for"

"Ok so it was in the right location for the activity we were taking part in. I can’t say anything about the outer rooms however our room was at the top of the hotel very hot and stuffy with only a roof window to open. Room above a fast food outlet open till 2:00am. Window had to be open to cool the room a fan was supplied but that was more noisy than the fast food out let. Also as the window had to be open due to the time year we stayed, we were woken early by the light. "
