"citizenM Amsterdam South is a unique chain of hotels with a micro footprint focus. Each room has an "open" show and toilet area in the main bedroom, partitioned by a glass tube and or curtain, which takes some getting used to. The staff is stellar, I enjoyed when they called us guest "citizens". The lobby feels akin to a hostel, in that its very communal, even with the likes of business workers. Its affordable and in a good location. Watch out for all the bikes!"

Easily accessed from the airport (bus 397) and beautifully situated for Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum, as well as having a nearby tram stop for central Amsterdam if you don't fancy the walk. "The room was a studio with sink, micro, dishwasher, fridge and king size bed. IT was immaculate as were all areas of the hotel. The included breakfast was great.
