We were never told we had to book a table nor were we informed there would be an event that evening allowing food only to be served in the bar area. We were eventually accommodated with another table being set up. "Friendly staff greeted us on our arrival, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, basically furnished, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and very tasty. The live music on Friday night was very good and not too loud. I would highly recommend the Cambridge Ibis hotel for a weekend break."

"My stay here was fantastic. It exceeded my expectations is pretty much every way, including luggage being taken up to my room so it was waiting for me when I was ready to check in. Breakfast was great and the wait wasnt very long at all for the meals being freshly cooked. The only downside was that the bed was hard as a rock, and i prefer a softer bed. I would recommend this hotel! "

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and wasn't disappointed , great food and service. The breakfast was amazing, lot's of choice and lovely ingredients. The garden areas in the lodge where we were staying were largely overgown and uncared for which was a shame. The staff were excellent and very helpful. With investment, this could be a 4/5 star hotel given its location. Presently, it is 2/3 star at best."
