"If it is in the very heart of things—the train station, multiple bus routes, all manner of dining options, with a view of Mt. Fuji to boot (though our view was partially obstructed by an electric pole and transformer). It is a bit hard to find, and gave our cabbie a run for his money (we were driving in from another train stop). Better signage is a must! "We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). We had a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from the main room of our cottage and although the bath on the first floor did not share that view (trees are in the way), the bath is phenomenal and we definitely took advantage of the big tub and its...

"A really great place to stay. Very spacious with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. It is a true one-bedroom unit with plenty of room. The Chromecast on the TV is a great touch because you can stream any content off your phone if you don't speak a Japanese. We really loved staying here."
