"Comfortable hotel with a great location. The daily $38 'resort fee' surprised us a checkout however. At check-in I heard words like 'complimentary' and 'discount tours' as part of the stay ... but it turns out those complimentary things were all tied to the fee."

"The staff at Eliza Thompson are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The tradition of happy hour and dessert hour in the parlor area is lovely. Although we are happy that we stayed here, I'm not sure we would stay again because the facilities are somewhat dated and need updating. The toilet tended to run at times. "
