"Wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good food. Nice pool area. Pool could use a little more cleaning of leaves, etc. but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. Nice big rooms with high ceilings. A/C had to work hard to keep it cool. Fantastic river tour with our guide and constant companion, Santos. Would definately recommend! "

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Residencias Samara is an oasis within the oasis of Samara. From the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms, Residencias Samara was the perfect homebase for the Samara leg of our honeymoon. We found it to be wonderfully relaxing and well situated within town and close to the beach.
