"Barcelo maya was everything we wanted. The beach was absolutely beautiful. But the main reason i chose this resort was for the snorkling right off the beach. It did not dissapoint. It was absolutely beautiful with coral and fish and sea turtles all in their natural environment. My son and i would definitely come here again."

Upon our arrival we upgraded to the "reserve" area for a very reasonable cost and it was well worth the price. We truely can't say enough about the quality of the staff and food. We loved everything about this trip! To name drop Carlos (our concierge) and Alejandra (front desk) really made our stay extra special --- THANK YOU!"

"Over all, our stay was amazing. The resort is beautiful and very clean. The food at the buffet was above par. The beach was gorgeous. There were plenty of chairs on the beach but small tables would be handy. One thing we found frustrating is that we had great difficulty getting change.
