"This is one of the most special properties we have stayed at. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful from transportation to dining recommendations. We had a view of the valley from our deck that was breathtaking! The room itself was spacious, including the bathroom.The breakfast was plentiful with made to order coffee and the staff were on top of refilling the food and so polite! "

While the pool area is undoubtedly lovely, it would have been more enjoyable with a higher water temperature, especially during the colder months. Overall, Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco is a fantastic choice for those looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Tuscany and indulge in a luxurious hotel experience. "We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. When looking for food to eat I recommend “Il Moro SNC di pellegrini Alessandro”, extremely clean kitchen, family run, delicious homemade local food. Don’t trust any of the restaurants hours posted on their websites, the city pretty much closes down once it’s past 8:30 you’ll have a hard time getting food anywhere. Also, the roads are very tight so if you are driving a car I recommend something small. Walking on the walls of the castle was another great highlight of the trip. If you want to visit any wineries make reservations ahead of time. Again, can’t recommend it enough! And thanks to the hotel staff for being so welcoming, hospitable and helpful with recommendations. We loved the whole experience. "

"The properties that make up the hotel are inside the medieval walled city ares sumptuous in beauty and comfort. The staff made us feel like treasured guests and always had a smile and a kind word. We celebrated a friend's 60 birthday here and could not have been happier! "

"Needed an extra night and got a room through Hotels.com. Was there for a wedding. The room was small but the location was where I wanted to be and the breakfast was very good. "

"The hotel was nice. The woman at the front desk who spoke English was very unfriendly. Seemed very annoyed if we asked questions. We opted to parking in their garage and the woman was pointing right while telling my husband to drive left. She was getting angry that he didn’t know if he should go right or left. Perhaps she needs a refresher course in English in the difference between left and right. Dining and cleaning staff were very nice. Overall the front desk staff was not friendly, except for the lady with white hair. "
