"Lovely small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The continental breakfast was lovely. Our only complaints were how hot the rooms were( a/c never cooled it down and window barely cracked open). It would be unbearable in the summer and they tended to only give us two small towels. Had to get extras every day. Overall, I would stay here again but in cooler months. "

"I was looking for a reasonably priced (for London) family room within walking distance of the US Embassy, but also close enough to attractions north of the Thames. The Carlton fit that bill. Its furnishings are a bit dated, but the family room we had was perfect for three people to lay their heads for a night. "Lovely old fashioned London pub with rooms above. Excellent breakfast but the experience was spoilt on our second day when workman were reupholstering the furniture in the same room. "We stayed here for 3 nights in the basic economy room. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff allowed luggage drop off early as our flight landed at 8am.
