"Tarpon Tale Inn is conveniently located on east end of Sanibel Island. The Inn is right across the street from a really good restaurant (loved the coffee) and Magic Bus Ice Cream shop. The bed was very comfortable. Just need to be cautious of the step up into the bathroom! The hosts were very flexible! Proximity to beach - excellent (2 blocks) Property provides bikes, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella!! "

"We absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in the superior suite on the 2nd floor. Beautiful view with stairs to walk right onto the beach. The unit was perfect. Completely stocked kitchen with full size fridge. Beautiful bathroom. They have facilities you can use when you check out and want to hang out a little longer on the beach. Great staff. So close to doc fords and 4 mins to a cvs. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back and stay longer. "

"Nice location. Interesting history. Beautiful beach. Excellent dining choices although they are expensive. Free bike and kayak a big plus for exploring. Sanibel Nature Refuge was gorgeous. Captiva/Sanibel are still recovering from their most recent hurricane, so be prepared for some eyesores."

"This unit is in a great location and steps from the beach. Although our unit was small, it was all we needed for a quick 2 night get-a-way. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the limited kitchen amenities were just enough to keep us fed. Appreciated the chairs, umbrellas and beach toys. For a longer stay I would suggest one of the second or third floor units but for the money, the first floor and sand right outside of the door this was a great place."
