"The main point was how helpful Alice was beforehand. I had to change the booking but couldnt with Expedia and Alice did it all and responded within minutes to all my emails. Great service. The place is great and lots of little thoughtful things to make a great stay. My only advice would be to ask for a room away from the road. The lorries start early."

"Excellent comfortable room with a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. Delicious breakfast everyday. Perfect location for all tourist activities. Staff seems attentive to your needs. There is a very steep hill that takes you down into the area with shops and restaurants. It's unsuitable for those with disabilities or physical issues."

"Wow, this was so nice, the surroundings were beautiful.. Laura and Derek very kind and helpful to make sure you have a good time in town or going to the Milford sound, she helped arrange a ride to M-S..I recommend it..parking is limited. "We booked this place early morning for two nights. It was a fantastic property and well equipped however the communication with someone that either works there or the owner was impossible. Terrible check in experience.( the only bad thing about the place) You require a code to get into to the property and the room. We never received any instructions and both phone numbers were automatically being transferred to voice mail. Also no response to several email. We waited in front of the property...

"We absolutely loved our stay. We received a friendly welcome, great restaurant suggestion which we enjoyed & loved watching a movie . The wee extras were very much appreciated. Breakfast was superior with home made stewed fruit, jams & bread. Poached eggs were made to perfection. Bed was soo comfy. A stunning bnb. Thank you "

"The property was superb great location the rooms have a lovely old world charm but still very functional. The hosts Angela & Barry were extremely helpful & very gracious sharing the rest of the house with there guests, we would definitely recommend the property as a great place to stay in Christchurch."
